The Fight Continues

Western York Branch of the NAACP Continues to Make a Difference in the Community


The Western York Branch of the NAACP has been a vital force in the community for over 50 years. The branch is committed to fighting for racial equality and social justice, and it has made significant progress in recent years.


In January, the branch held its 42nd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade. The parade is the longest running MLK Day Parade in the State of South Carolina, and it draws thousands of people from all over the region. The branch also hosted a free golf clinic for teenagers in low income communities.
